A family portrait session starts at $2000 and includes every JPEG from the shoot, along with four color corrected, retouched, and print ready TIFF files of your choosing.

Everything we do is with intention and is well thought out. We are not the cheapest option, but we are the best option for families wanting something original that you helped to make. We photograph in medium format, ensuring your family can take all those photographs you end up loving and print them as big as you want or make the most beautiful family album.
With over 20 years of commercial and editorial expertise, we bring white glove service to family photography. Gone are the days of everyone sit on the couch and smile at the camera. Great photography should not be exclusive to centerfolds and billboards. Unlike a single photographer, we are a husband and wife duo, photographing you and your loved ones simultaneously. This enables us to capture all the moments a single photographer would miss. Frankly, it changes the game.

We shoot with lights so any time of day and any situation works for us!
-
When you book a shoot day, we work together to figure out a good time for you. When we arrive we like to spend some time getting to know everyone. Once the shoot starts, we usually get everything we need in two hours.
The beauty of these sessions is their flexibility — they can be as elaborate or as simple as you'd like. Plus, if at any point someone in the group is ready to wrap up, we can capture their shots and they are free to go, while the rest continue. We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience!
-
We will get a general idea over the phone what you are looking to accomplish and then plan around that. We like to remind everyone that we are trying to make pictures you and your family love forever. Sometimes it is fun to make dated pictures that we can look back on and laugh, but other times the more classic and timeless the better.
-
That is entirely up to you and your family but we are happy to give suggestions and recommendations. If we decide to do a shoot in or around your home, it should be how you'd like it presented (though sometimes a little mess can add character!) on the shoot day.
-
The process is all about collaboration, and everyone’s input matters. If someone has a new idea and the group decides to go with it, we are happy to switch things up. We will roll with the changes to ensure we capture what you envision!
-
You get more than that! You will receive all the jpeg images plus 4 color corrected, retouched and print ready TIFF files.
-
Depending on how many images you order it usually takes about a week to get everything to you!
-
Yes, absolutely. You can order as many as you'd like for yourself, family and friends. If you decide that there are way more than four favorites and you want them looking their best it is $100 dollars an image. Generous grandparents? This makes for a perfect holiday gift wink wink!

MADISON + VAN
Madison grew up on her family farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Her mother is a photographer, which often led Madison to rise early at her mother’s request to actualize her sudden inspiration. Creativity permeated her household, and the family photos taken during those moments continue to adorn the walls of her childhood home. Following in her father's footsteps, Madison pursued a medical degree and also works as a Physician Assistant.
Van studied fine art and received a BFA from New York University. With over 20 years in commercial and editorial photography, he grew tired of seeing friends stuck with bad family portraits. Great photography should not be just for the likes of British Vogue or Louis Vuitton.
When Madison and Van met they knew pretty quickly they would end up together in life but soon realized also in business. Their passion for photography and capturing families at their most authentic and timeless moments has inspired Madivan studios.
